ABOUT OUR RANCH

TX Grassfed Beef Cattle Company is a five-generation family ranching operation raising grass-fed beef in Northern California and Southern Oregon. The Martinez family has spent generations raising cattle, with a focus on animal care, responsible land management, and preserving the ranching traditions that have been passed down through the family.

Their predominantly Black Angus and Black Angus-cross cattle are 100% grass-fed and grass-finished, roaming pasture throughout their lives without grain, growth hormones, or antibiotics. If an animal becomes sick and requires antibiotics, it is treated and removed from the grass-fed program rather than being sold as grass-fed beef.

The ranch specializes in half and whole beef shares rather than individual retail cuts. Each order is processed by a local butcher and customized to the customer's preferences, including cuts, steak thickness, package sizes, and other processing options. Depending on the cut sheet, customers can receive everything from ribeyes, filets, brisket, and roasts to ground beef, bones, and organ meats.

The cattle are typically harvested between 24 and 36 months, allowing them to remain on grass considerably longer than conventional grain-finished cattle. After harvest, the beef is dry-aged by one of the ranch's local butcher partners before being custom cut, packaged, frozen, and picked up directly by the customer.

For families looking to buy beef directly from the people who raise it, TX Grassfed Beef Cattle Company offers a straightforward connection to a multi-generation ranch and cattle raised entirely on grass from pasture to harvest.

About

Our family has raised cattle in Los Molinos, Northern California, for five generations. Every animal is born and raised on the ranch, grazed on open pasture, and 100% grass-fed and grass-finished with no grain, hormones, antibiotics, or feedlots. Cattle are typically harvested at 24–30 months, allowing them to mature naturally and develop the flavor the ranch is known for. Beef is sold directly by the whole or half animal, custom-cut by a local butcher, and picked up locally.
