Grateful Graze

Grateful Graze is a fifth-generation family farm in Henry County, Illinois, built around a simple idea: healthy proteins start with healthy soil. Monte and Robyn use regenerative farming practices to bring livestock back onto the land, combining grazing, cover crops, plant diversity, and minimal soil disturbance to improve the health of their farm.

Their cattle are 100% grass-fed and grass-finished, spending their lives on pasture and cover crops rather than grain. The herd is moved to fresh grazing areas daily using management-intensive grazing, allowing previously grazed areas time to recover while keeping cattle on fresh forage. The farm raises British White, Angus, and South Poll cattle selected for their ability to thrive in a grass-based system.

Grateful Graze offers both individual beef cuts and bulk beef shares, making it possible to purchase anything from ground beef, steaks, roasts, and brisket to larger quarter and half beef orders. The farm also raises Berkshire pork in timber and pasture-raised chicken supplemented with homegrown non-GMO grain, along with silvopasture-raised goat.

Customers can order online and choose from local home delivery or several pickup locations, including pickup directly at the farm in Cambridge. With a focus on regenerative agriculture, pasture-based livestock and direct-to-consumer food, Grateful Graze connects families with meat raised from the soil up.
