ABOUT OUR RANCH
Otter Creek Farm is a fifth-generation family farm nestled on 440 acres in Rensselaer County, New York, just outside Albany and Saratoga Springs. Owned by the Wiley family since 1882, the farm combines more than two centuries of agricultural tradition with a modern, regenerative approach to food production. Today, Otter Creek Farm raises 100% grass-fed beef, pastured pork, chicken, turkey, and eggs while carefully stewarding its pastures, woodlands, and fertile soils. Their mission is simple: healthy soils create healthy animals, which in turn create healthy people.
Brad Wiley, a fifth-generation farmer, and Elizabeth, whose passion for clean food and sustainable agriculture brought her to Otter Creek Farm, have built a diversified operation centered around transparency and community. Visitors are encouraged to tour the farm, meet the animals, and see firsthand how their food is raised. The farm's unique meat share program allows customers to purchase ownership shares in animals before harvest, creating a direct connection between farmers and consumers while supporting a resilient local food system.
Otter Creek Farm is proudly Certified Animal Welfare Approved and Certified Grassfed by A Greener World—two of the most respected certifications in sustainable agriculture. Their cattle spend their entire lives on pasture with a 100% grass and forage diet, and all livestock are raised without added hormones or routine antibiotics. From annual shareholder appreciation gatherings to overnight stays at the Graceful Acres Farmstay, Otter Creek Farm offers more than exceptional food—it offers an opportunity to become part of a farming family that has served its community for generations.
